How to get even with God...

1. be more like Him
   • Be more merciful, generous, forgiving, loving, delightful, caring, joyful and with love for all people.
2. forgive and seek forgiveness
   • live like your were dying, go make amends, make new friends with old friends
3. pray
   • pray your butt off! tell Him what you want, He'll give you what you need, develop your Faith and find out what His still, small voice sounds like
4. invite His Holy Spirit
   • He is your comforter, your guide, ask for His help in all things, He is your connectivity with others
5. be excellent in all you do
   • do your best in all things; excellence, creativity and wisdom all go hand in hand and are from God
6. count your blessings
   • recognize the grace that you have enjoyed, praise God for it and be ever grateful
7. take a vacation once a week
   • This is what He meant by "honor the sabbath"; take the time to rest, relax, recharge, spend time with Him and your family. He loves you, this is a gift, please take it and enjoy it. You probably need it.
8. swallow your pride
   • just throw your ego out the window; you will be better prepared to accept criticism and other blows if your ego isn't inflated. Trust God and He will entrust you.
9. find a cause and support it
   • God puts desires in your heart. So what matters to you, matters to Him. You are special and your contribution to the world is motivated by those desires, act on them.
10. teach children
    • spend time with your children or teach others children, pass them the baton, pass down the wisdom, encourage them to take their rightful place in the Kingdom of Heaven here on Earth.

These are not rules, but ideas on how to have a relationship with God that brings Heaven closer to Earth.  He wants us to care enough. Humbling ourselves to connect with Him will only strengthen us.  What we give Him, He always returns with increase. Pull up a chair and have a relationship with God that allows you to have an ongoing dialogue with Him and it will change the world!
